A: Shimmer eye shadow can be used during the day but only in small amounts, and not covering the entire eye lid. Use a shimmery highlighter under the brow or a small dab to the inner corner of the eyes to create subtle sparkle. During the evening makeup can definitely become more pronounced and more daring. Layering shimmery colours will allow for a more metallic look. Beware of using very shimmery eye shadows if you are concerned with lines and wrinkles, as these may become exaggerated. In this case rather choose matte shades and blend well.
