Q: I have this beautiful gold top with sequin trim but I’ve never worn it. I want to know if I can I wear it during the day? Joy – South Africa
A: Yes, yes, yes! If your personality allows you to (if you are sparkly and bubbly) then yes, by all means, you can wear bling during the day. If you are a bit more conservative just wear a touch of bling, not a lot. A top with just a touch of bling is perfect for the day; wear it with a casual pair of pants or jeans (or even as a skirt with a denim jacket). It also looks fabulous under a smart suit. A touch of shimmer, sequins or shine can add a real point of difference to any outfit. Just make sure you don’t overdo it – bling from head to toe is for evening only!
