Q. DO I RECEIVE A CERTIFICATE?

A. Yes. You receive a certificate of accreditation once you have completed the training courses and successfully passed the exam. Chata Romano™ owns her Intellectual Property which is trademarked, protected and trustworthy – she is not answerable to any other Training Academy. All of Chata Romano™ training manuals and consultation materials are copyright and trademarked and remain the property of her organisation. Chata Romano™ is a well-known and established brand with an outstanding reputation and track record, operating for 33 years. Our network of internationally accredited consultants stand as testimony to Chata’s successful Training Academy.​

Q.IF I DO YOUR TRAINING PROGRAMME IN, FOR EXAMPLE, SOUTH AFRICA, CAN I OPERATE ANYWHERE IN THE WORLD?

A. Yes. Certified Chata Romano™ Consultants are awarded an international certificate from The Chata Romano Training Academy therefore giving them the license to operate anywhere in the world.​

Q. DO YOUR CONSULTANTS WORK FOR YOU, OR ARE THEY INDEPENDENT?

A. Chata Romano™ Consultants are independent and they manage their own diary; they do not work for us. Once they are trained, and certified, they operate as independent consultants under the umbrella of the Chata ​Romano™ brand.​

Q. DO YOU OFFER CORRESPONDENCE COURSES?

A. Yes, all of Chata’s training courses are available online, via Zoom sessions. The sessions are not pre-recorded, the training content is exactly the same as an in-person training session. Chata’s training sessions are practical, visual, interactive and comprehensive.​

Q. I LIVE IN EAST LONDON, SOUTH AFRICA. WHY DO YOU DO YOUR IN-PERSON TRAINING IN GAUTENG ONLY?

A. We receive applications from throughout South Africa so it is easier, and more cost-effective, for the delegates to travel to one place instead of Chata travelling to many places. In-person training is, therefore, conducted in Gauteng.​

Q. HOW DOES YOUR REFERRAL SYSTEM WORK?

A. Income generated by the consultant is theirs, 100% – no commission fee is due to Head Office. Consultants pay a 20% referral fee for all the referrals they receive from Head Office.​

Q. HOW MANY CONSULTANTS DO YOU PLAN ON TRAINING?​

A. Quality, not quantity is our motto. It has always been our vision to have a small team of dedicated, passionate and professional consultants. We are not a traditional training academy in the sense that Chata doesn’t train every month – she only conducts 3 to 4 training sessions per annum. Chata spends dedicated time creating opportunities for the Chata Romano™ brand. She also actively markets her consultants through numerous marketing campaigns. The business we derive from these marketing campaigns is then referred onto our consultants.​

Q. DOES CHATA ROMANO ADVERTISE MY BUSINESS?

A. You are an independent consultant who owns her own business; you are not employed by Chata Romano™. You are therefore responsible for your own marketing, advertising and developing your own database. Chata Romano™ does, however, market their consultants at every opportunity.​

Q. DO I HAVE TO QUIT MY FULL TIME JOB ONCE I HAVE RECEIVED MY ACCREDITATION?

A. A. Not at all. Quite a number of our consultants consult part-time.​

Q. CAN I TRAIN WITH CHATA ROMANO AND THEN START MY OWN BUSINESS?

A. Yes. Certified Chata Romano™ Consultants are welcome to use, and market, the copyrighted and trademarked brand name CHATA ROMANO. They will also have access to all our business templates, whilst operating under the umbrella of CHATA ROMANO.​

Q. WHAT QUALIFICATIONS DO I NEED TO BECOME A CONSULTANT?

A. You do not, necessarily, have to have experience in the field of fashion, beauty or hair – as a matter of fact, most of our consultants don’t have any such prior experience. Chata’s training programme is, primarily, designed for those individuals who:

  • Enjoy helping women look and feel their best
  • Consider themselves natural communicators and good motivators
  • Are well groomed, articulate, confident, dynamic and organized
  • Have an entrepreneurial spirit
  • Are committed to excellence
  • Want to be successful

Q. ARE THERE ANY ADDITIONAL COSTS?

A. Yes, please see below.

Annual license fee: Consultants are required to pay an annual licence fee of R2,500 upon certification, renewable on the 1st December each year. An annual increase of 10% will be charged. If certification is issued after 1st September a licence fee of only R1,500 will be charged.

Your Annual License Fee:

  • Gives you authorization to operate and market yourself as a certified Chata Romano Consultant​
  • Gives you access to your personal @chataromano.com email address​
  • Gives you access to your individual website page within our website and your individual URL (the link to your personal website page)​
  • Covers the cost for Head Office to maintain your individual website page​​

Colour Consultant Kit received upon certification @ R2,500, which includes:

  • A full set of Power Point Presentations
  • A full set of templates for stationery, business documents, marketing and advertising
  • 6 x fabric drapes for colour analysis

Image Consultant Kit received upon certification @ R2,500, which includes:

  • A full set of Power Point Presentations
  • A full set of templates for stationery, business documents, marketing and advertising

Templates are updated every alternate annum, at a cost of R2,500.​
It is advisable to allocate a budget to market yourself and to understand how to set up a business before you commence consulting.​

Q. WHAT IS YOUR REFUND POLICY

A. Request for a refund must please be made in writing – refunds will be granted under the following conditions:

  • Up to 2 weeks prior to training date – 100% refund
  • 14 to 10 days prior to training date – 50% refund
  • Less than 10 days prior to training date – no refund

Q. I HAVE DONE TRAINING AS A CONSULTANT WITH ANOTHER TRAINING ACADEMY. WHY DO I HAVE TO COMPLETE THE COLOUR CERTIFICATION BEFORE I COMPLETE THE IMAGE CERTIFICATION?

A. Some of our consultants have had previous training in the colour, style, hair or makeup field. And whilst they are certified (in the non-Chata system) they need to go through Chata Romano™ training because the curriculum is so different. Think about it: You are not able to conduct an effective consultation without showing your client which hair, makeup and clothing colours best suit her skin tone. Consultants are, therefore, required to complete their colour certification which includes The Chata Romano™ Colour System.​

Q. WHY DO WE HAVE TO WRITE EXAMS?

A. In order for us to ensure you understand the Chata Romano™ systems. And for you to celebrate your new-found knowledge : ) ! The exams are part theory and part practical. Q. WHERE WILL I CONDUCT MY BUSINESS?

A. From home or an office, there are no set rules. Either way, your working environment must please be professional, yet relaxing at the same time. You should also have good daylight (or good lighting) in order to conduct the colour analysis correctly.

Q. WHAT STANDARDS MUST WE ADHERE TO?

A. As a Chata Romano™ Consultant you will be required to maintain a high standard in terms of your own image and conduct, which should be professional and well groomed. We also, naturally, expect you to be friendly and approachable. The friendly professional is always called back again and again (and again!).​

Q. HOW DO YOUR DESIGNATIONS WORK?

A. Chata personally trains all her consultants and doesn’t authorise their certification lightly. The content of the consultation or workshop our clients experience is exactly the same, regardless of the consultants designation. The main difference between our consultants designations is the level of experience i.e.: the more senior the consultant the more experience she has. ​

Colour Consultants play a significant role in the success of The Complete Image Solution offering. With extensive training in The Art of Colour our consultants are champions at finding their clients most complementing hair, makeup and clothing colours. ​​

Image Consultants​
Colour Consultants advance to Image Consultant status.
Their knowledge is exemplified by personal image consultations providing valuable advice on figure analysis, style solutions and wardrobe planning to suit their clients lifestyle. As Personal Shoppers they share their knowledge on how to shop smartly. Workshops and makeovers, for select consultants, are two additional areas of their expertise.​​

Senior Image Consultants
Image Consultants advance to Senior Image Consultant status. ​
They are seasoned experts in their field, backed by years of experience with an impressive contribution and reputation.​

Ambassadors
Senior Image Consultants advance to Ambassador status, the highest designation in our organisation. ​
Over and above their impressive list of services they also confidently stand in for and represent Chata when she is unavailable for media interviews.

Q. IS THIS A GOOD TIME TO BE IN THE IMAGE BUSINESS?
