Hiding your muffin top

Marlise du Plessis answers your fashion question

Q: How can I hide my ‘muffin top’? No matter how much I exercise the ‘unwanted roll’ remains around my waist. Maxine – London, UK

A: No-one has x-ray vision! If you conceal your concern well, no-one will know. You must, 100%, avoid tight tops. Choose styles that are loose, but not too loose, around the waist. Draped tops, with a dropped elasticised waistband, are the absolute best. These styles work well to hide any areas of concern around the waist and tummy area. Make sure the waistband fits snugly to allow for some blouson just above your waistband.

Thank you Joan! A style consultation is always difficult with the person in front of me but, generally, it is best to cover your arms with a style that it reasonably loose and flattering.
