Q: I’m never quite sure which type of blusher to use. How do I choose between a cream blusher and a powder blusher? Marietjie – Bloemfontein, South Africa

A: Both cream and powder blushers are available in a variety of colours, however the different textures allow for a different method of application. Powder blushers should be applied with a blusher brush and are ideal for all skin types; powder blushers are especially suited to combination or oily skin types due to the matte effect. Cream blushers should be applied and blended with your fingertips making it extremely quick and easy to use; cream blushers are especially suited to a dry skin type.
