Bernice from Lunatic Fringe answers your hair question
Q: I am young but am already going grey. Highlights don’t seem to cover this problem. What should I do? Shirley – Austin, Texas
A: Step one is to apply a base colour which will completely cover your grey hair. Once done a full head of highlights should be applied in a shade lighter than your base colour to ensure tone and depth. This process will cover your grey hair; yet the effect will still look natural. Going forward you would only need to apply the base colour on your roots every six weeks, or so. And a few highlights in your parting. It is advisable to book a nourishing treatment on the day you colour your hair to restore the protein and moisture levels. This is a great way to keep your hair healthy and looking fabulous!
