First there was the bob (short bob), then the lob (long bob), then the mob (man bob); now there is the wob (wavy bob).
Hollywood’s hottest haircut is fast becoming the must-have style to sizzle on the red carpet. The wob – a chin or shoulder length wavy bob – enhances tousled tresses with effortless romantic curls, easily heating up the day or night—and celebrity stylists are loving it for being youthful and easy to style. Best of all, it works for everyone, unless you have a very short or wide neck.
“The wob is very on-trend and will stay that way for a while, I’m consistently seeing women move towards this easy-to-style look,” says Edward Tricomi, celebrity stylist. “This wavy hairstyle has seen many long-time fans of the lob giving their hairstyle an update and adding bounce and body in order to create a more carefree and youthful look. It’s a short hairstyle without the commitment and you can grow it out quite quickly.”
Earlier this year, top hairdresser Clyde Elezi revealed to MailOnline just why shoulder-length hair has become so popular during the last year. “Everyone suits just-above-shoulder hair. When your hair is long and plain I guarantee no one will stop you on the street to ask about your hair, but when you have a stylish crop you’ll get endless compliments.”
