Chata and Lana, her trusted hairdresser, are a perfect fit. They have, very successfully, worked together for 12 fabulous years! They start, and end, one another’s sentences and their passion for their happy and satisfied client’s is absolute.
Today we are delighted to interview Lana – and we include a variety of the stunning, stunning, STUNNING makeovers Chata and Lana have done together (it was impossible to choose, there were so many!).
Q: What was the ‘ah-ha’ moment when you decided you wanted to become a hairdresser?
A: I have always been very creative, and I love doing different kinds of art forms. One day I saw a high-fashion hair show on TV – the show was all about the behind- the-scenes and I just fell in love with the energy, the creativity and the final amazing product, which was the hair. That was when I decided to become a hair stylist, and I have never looked back. I just absolutely love it!
Q: How long have you been a hairdresser for?
A: 14 amazing years!
Q: What do you love most about your given occupation?
A: Uplifting women, making them feel beautiful and showing them how to see themselves as amazing as they truly are.
Q: How you help women to develop their own sense of style?
A: I work together with my client – at the end of the day the makeover is all about them. It is very important for me to find out about my client’s lifestyle and her personality. I ask additional key questions about the history of her hair and her routine. I also establish what she likes and what she doesn’t like. And only then do I add my expertise pertaining to colour and style in order to create a new look that is perfect for my client’s face shape and skin tone.
Q: You have worked with Chata since 2007. 12 years is a long relationship in this competitive industry. What do you value most about your relationship?
A: Indeed, Chata and I have worked together for a long time! I have loved these incredible years with Chata, changing women’s lives. We have an amazing relationship that consists of loyalty, respect and passion. We just understand each other and our clients’ needs so well – she starts a sentence and I finish it, and vice versa. We make an amazing team.
Q: What are the five adjectives you would use to describe yourself?
A: Passionate, creative, loyal, ambitious and compassionate.
Q: What do you do for “me-time”?
A: I love to be creative, with all different forms of art. It allows me to unwind, destress and express myself.
