Q: How do I buy clothing that will not end up at the back of my closet? I have cupboards full of clothes! Ashley – Dallas, Texas

A: Make sure that every item you buy goes with at least three other items in your wardrobe. In this photograph the plum jeans can be worn with the soft pretty silk floral top, the casual brown leather jacket and the sequin trimmed bustier (a stunning white top or shirt under the leather jacket will also look fabulous!) A great tip is to buy more tops than bottoms because people notice what you are wearing on the top half of your body before they notice what you are wearing on the bottom half of your body).
