Q: I see that tartan prints are very fashionable this season. Does this print not make you look very dated? Sally – South Africa.

A: Not at all : ) ! Here are some super stylish ideas; from formal through to casual. From left to right:

  • A tartan pencil skirt looks fabulous with a tailored jacket or coat (the boots can be replaced with smart court shoes)
  • A trendy pair of tartan leggings can be dressed up with a stylish jacket (in print or plain)
  • Or dressed down with a casual T-top and denim jacket (with ankle boots or comfy brogues)
  • Looks equally stunning in an evening dress

Style tip: Opt for smaller checks if you have a fuller shape to your body.
