WINTER TRENDS: 70’s REVIVAL

The 70’s revival has arrived and we love it! From wild and whacky to simple and chic, from smart to casual and everything in between.

It is hard to miss the retro-glam silhouettes (flares, maxis), detailing (fringe, embroidery, feathers) and fabrics (denim, suede) in all the various brown shades, with accents of yellow, avocado green and teal blue.

This trend is predicted to last a few seasons; it is therefore SOOO worthwhile to invest in a few key items. Our favourites include turtlenecks, an A-line button-up miniskirt, a sleek suede or corduroy coat and flared denims. A chic jumpsuit is ideal for cocktail hour and a pussy bow blouse is perfect for the office.

Styles range from very casual to very smart; something for every shape, and every age. The trick is to mix and match the old with the new i.e.: don’t go 70’s from head-to-toe; add current wardrobe basics to new fashion trends.

Accessorize your outfits with a fringed bag, floppy brimmed hat, round sunglasses (rather opt for a square shape if you have a round face shape) and a pair of over-the-knee boots.

We hope you enjoy this trend as much as we do!
