STYLISH WAYS TO WEAR A SARONG

A sarong goes by many names such as a pareos, surong, kanga, and even a lungi. Whatever your word for a sarong is there’s no question this item is a versatile, cool and comfortable summer must-have. Here are five easy, and stylish, ways to wear your sarong this summer season.

STYLE NUMBER 1: Wrap your sarong around your waist, like the image in the collage, if you are long-waisted. Wrap your sarong just past the widest point of your hips, like the intro image, if you are short-waisted. Double the knot to ensure it is secure.

STYLE NUMBER 2: Wrap your sarong around your body. Tie the knot on the left (or right) side of your body. Knot twice in order to (a) secure and (b) create a side ruffle.

STYLE NUMBER 3: Wrap your sarong around your body. Loop each end through the front string of your bikini (or costume) top then tie the knot. Knot twice in order to (a) secure and (b) create a middle ruffle.

STYLE NUMBER 4: Wrap your sarong around your body. Tie the knot in the front. Double the knot to ensure it is secure. Take one piece over your shoulder (right or left side) and tuck the piece into the back of your sarong.

STYLE NUMBER 5: Wrap your sarong around your body. Tie the knot in the front. Double the knot to ensure it is secure. Take both pieces over your shoulder and tuck into the back of your sarong. STYLE TIP: If you have a full bust or wide shoulders twist the fabric around and around in order to make a slimmer halter neck before tucking into the back of your sarong.
