Skirts, dresses and shorts are, usually, the hot topics for the summer season ahead. But this year one of the hot, hot, HOT topics is summer pants, in particular high-waisted styles. There are some great options, and they are tricky to style, so here are some great tips!
High-waisted summer pants styles, like all of the above images, best suit women who are reasonably slim with a longer upper body. If you have a fuller figure the additional fabric will make your tummy look fuller. If you are short-waisted this silhouette will make your upper body look shorter.
The paper bag pant, like the middle image, has extra fabric at the top that gets cinched in by a belt, and then ruffled over the belt as if it is spilling over. The width of the pant can be wide or tapered.
Whether you opt for the paper bag style or the tapered style this item is best worn with a shaped or fitted top, like a slim fit shirt or bodysuit. Avoid oversized baggy tops that will overwhelm the pants. If you have a fabulous figure, and toned abs, then you can wear a cropped top.
