It’s not easy picking just one winter jacket, but we can confidently reveal that this stylish knee-length trench jacket from Woolworths fulfilled our wardrobe wish list – and with plum being the new black, the colour couldn’t be more perfect.
COLOUR ME CHARTREUSE
The gorgeous decorative statement made by this impressive paisley scarf is where our look gets its personality. A bright chartreuse silky top combined with plum corduroy pants and our hero trench jacket is the perfect chic foundation as we add feminine Mary Jane heels in a matching shade. Balance is key so remember to avoid wide pants with an A-line jacket as it will add volume – a tapered shape is where you’ll find success.

MODERN METALLIC
Our plum trench jacket gets a modern makeover with the addition of grey tapered pants, a silver, plum and black stripe shirt and heavenly patent wedges – perfect for city life. The shirt is an impor
tant part of this look and you can either tuck it in or leave it out, but make sure the look remains polished, and to make it even more memorable wear the collar over the jacket’s collar to show off their similar proportions.

AUTUMNAL ABUNDANCE
Winter’s favourite moody palette of ochre, burgundy and brown is where we find inspiration for an urban ethnic look. The chevron striped handbag, ochre shirt and stack of colourful bangles bring the tribal flavour while casual rider boots, bootleg denim and our plum trench jacket ensure lots of cowl-neck effect.

ANYTIME SHINE
It’s invigorating to see the effect a bit of shine has on a day outfit. Take our sliver flats, matching quilted bag and teal bracelet combined with bootleg denim, an aqua blouse, sporting flattering flared sleeves and a rouched body to hide a rounded tummy, and our plum trench jacket and you have a refreshing take on daytime dressing. The dark wash of these sexy denims will ensure such a flattering silhouette and their bootleg style balances the hips adding even more kindness to womanly curves.

COCOA POWER
With a palette of caramel, chocolate and coffee, this look is as delicious as it sounds. The casual caramel jeans co-ordinated with a paisley-printed tunic looks beautiful underneath our plum trench jacket. If you have short legs or full ankles, avoid wearing turn-ups. A patent leather brown handbag with its colour combination and modern finishes quite literally steals the show. Finished off with comfy flats and a stylish belt, this look works because of the different brown shades that complement rather than blend.

PRINTS AHEAD
This retro printed dress is reminiscent of a swinging 60’s shift and by slipping our plum trench jacket over its stunning swirls you capture a look that’s classic, yet bold. If you have full knees but lovely calves and ankles opt for a length that falls just below the knee. The jacket and dress should be the same length (the dress can be slightly shorter than the jacket). A trendy box clutch bag adorned with pretty jewels keeps up with the fashionability of this look, but if you want to tone things down, a casual bag will also do the trick.

AN EVENING TO REMEMBER
Did you ever think you could dress up a simple plum trench jacket? It’s all in the detail. Evening wear separates don’t get nearly enough praise (until now) as we beautifully combine a black top with beaded detail around the neck and a soft pleated skirt layered under our versatile trench jacket. The chic plum colour offsets the black and a pair of sparkling drop earrings ensures that final dazzle of glam.
