Classically beautiful women are known for their large eyes, elegant noses, high cheekbones and symmetrical features. The shape of their eyebrows usually escapes conscious notice. However, the right brow line can give the illusion of different proportions than a face naturally has. Eyes appear larger, faces more oval and features more defined.
Why is your eyebrow shape so important? Do you tend to overlook your eyebrows and let them grow wild? Your eyebrows are one of your most important facial features! Figuring out the right eyebrow shape can be a real challenge; here are a few guidelines.
1st PIC: THE BEFORE. 2nd PIC: ONLY ONE EYEBROW SHAPED SO YOU CAN SEE THE COMPARISON
The correct guideline for brow shaping is as follows: The start point should run in a vertical line with the outside of your nose. The highest point of the arch should be in line with the middle to outside edge of your iris, and the end point should finish on the line running from the side of your nostril through the outside corner of your eye.
3rd PIC: BOTH EYEBROWS SHAPED. 4th PIC: VANESSA LOOKING COMPLETELY GLAMOROUS!
The plucking line, from the start point of the brow towards the highest point of your arch, should run in a straight line and not have any curve in it at all. The same goes for the plucking line from the arch to the end. The end of the brow should taper off into a fine point.
You will need good lighting; a mirror, which shows your whole face; a clean mascara wand or toothbrush and a good pair of tweezers. Use the mascara wand to brush the eyebrow hair upwards. Now part the hair into the desired shape by brushing the unwanted hair downwards. Pluck away any hair growth below the parted line. Remember to pull the hair in the same direction of growth. Voilà, you now have a beautiful open eye space with the illusion of a mini (Botox free) eyelift!
