Dalmé feels she often ‘blends into the background’. No one seems to notice she is there and she wanted to change that. Dalmé’s hair is naturally very curly, which we thought was beautiful. All we did was add some long layers for body. We used a red shade of burgundy for her base colour and added some fine red highlights. The correct makeup shades were applied to enhance the colour of her eyes. Dalmé felt safe in earth-tone colours and got quite a shock when she saw the deep, bright colours on her colour chart. We chose a burnt orange crushed chiffon shirt with an embroidered camisole and bronze denim pants for our first point of departure from her old look.
