7. Sophia Barrington

Self love means loving yourself enough to let go of all the toxic things and people that nearly destroyed you. Love yourself enough to know your self-worth. We all deserve so much love. It starts with you.

8. Shiree Frans-Sheldon

SELF LOVE to me, right now, means finding the courage to wake up every day. And not knowing my next move. But facing every day with so much strength and determination despite it all.

9. Genevieve Chevalier Korsten

10. Cindy-Ann Forbes
What SELF-LOVE means to me
I had a Stroke on 20th May 2016. Medical diagnosis is Expressive Aphasia and Apraxia of Speech (or verbal Apraxia). My determination is a powerful quality. A willingness to persist despite difficulties and overcoming challenges. Resilience is bouncing back from setbacks and embracing challenges. I live a life that is empowering. Life is short and every moment is precious.

11. Elrieta Pienaar
What SELF-LOVE means to me
Today self-love meant asking my beautiful young daughters (13 and 11 years old) to come up with an idea to help me enter this competition. They made this happen and made me feel loved, and I accept.

13. Ria Scheepers
What SELF-LOVE means to me
From Rita Riekert Preston, on behalf of my mother: Self-love in my life means celebrating who I am, embracing my uniqueness, and living with confidence and joy. It’s about nourishing my mind, body, and soul, chasing my dreams, and surrounding myself with positivity. Loving myself empowers me to shine, grow, and live life to the fullest!

Self-love means keeping “My Cup” of self-care, self-acceptance, personal values, spiritual health, and gratitude FULL so that I can pour from “My Cup” to others.

20. Euliese Jonker
What SELF-LOVE means to me
To me, SELF LOVE means that you love yourself so much that you can’t actually help sharing the LOVE with those around you! You touch everyone around you wherever you go… it doesn’t matter where you are – at work, in a queue at the shops, walking in the park. Just have so much SELF LOVE that flows out of you that you share your inner happiness with those around you!

21. Mogash Naidu
What SELF-LOVE means to me
To me, self-love means embracing and valuing oneself unconditionally. It involves recognizing my worth, taking care of my mental and physical well-being, and setting healthy boundaries. Self-love is about being kind to myself, celebrating my achievements, and learning from my mistakes without harsh self-criticism. It’s the foundation for a fulfilling and balanced life.

22. Adelle Brand
What SELF-LOVE means to me
Self-love means setting boundaries like a boss, and other times it is indulging in that extra slice of cake just because. It is knowing that I am a work in progress and a masterpiece at the same time.

26. Elstine Van Jaarsveldt
What SELF-LOVE means to me
I’m the kind of person to give and show love to everyone around me, care for everyone, and always put others’ feelings and needs before my own. In 2023, I realized that it was time to STOP. Time to see myself, to value myself, to love myself. That was a big step, very hard, but I’m so truly proud of myself for making my move. Today, I’m a different and changed woman. Yes, I still am loving and caring, but I understand boundaries, I understand the value of my inner peace, to care more for myself, to see my self-worth. All the glory goes to God, our heavenly Father. He has placed so many wonderful ladies on my new path to help me grow. Without God’s love, there is no way to love myself and see myself as He sees me. And He is still leading and teaching me to love myself.

28. Nerine Nedeljkovic
What SELF-LOVE means to me
Self-love: valuing myself, recognizing my worth. Ongoing journey of betterment.

29. Adele Fourie
What SELF-LOVE means to me
Being beautiful from within is a godly blessing but a good pair of heart earrings can go a long way to brighten up your day.

30. Gaby Schultzl
What SELF-LOVE means to me
Self-love means nurturing my mind, body, and spirit while embracing my authentic self without judgment. Winning the ultimate self-love package would empower my journey of personal growth, providing tools and experiences to deepen my self-care practice and inspire others to prioritize their own well-being.
