JACKETS THAT WILL FLATTER YOUR BODY

After Fashion Week invaded London last August, Milan now takes the center stage this September for the Fall 2013 Collection. Just when the weather starts getting cooler, the Italians are busy looking for their most fashionable jacket. The ladies on the streets of Milan can be seen wearing an assortment of jackets including a blazer jacket, padded jacket, and animal print jacket.

With winter just around the corner it is best to start shopping for some stylish jackets. This will not only keep you warm, but also make you look great – that is if you know how to choose the right jacket. With the many choices of jackets available at Marks and Spencer, any girl will have a hard time deciding what to buy. But to make your life easier, here are some tips on how you can find a jacket that will flatter your body.

SLIM BODY
Having a body like supermodel Twiggy is often envied by many women, but even slim girls have fashion dilemmas. Finding a jacket can be quite tricky for some ladies with small curves and straight figure because they don’t want to look thinner. To add more volume to your slim body, it is best to choose a jacket that is quite heavy on top like a double-breasted jacket. You can accessorize that jacket with a scarf.

NARROW SHOULDERS / FULLER HIPS
Since the heavier part of the figure is the lower half of the body frame, then it is best to cover that area by choosing a straight-cut jacket that extends up to the hips. It is also advisable to wear a jacket that has fewer details on the lower part or a jacket that flares out on the bottom part.

FULL-FIGURED BODY
There are several full-figured celebrities like Queen Latifah and Adele who has mastered matching the right clothes for their body. These women always looked great on the red carpet, and you can look amazing too by wearing a clean silhouette jacket with a few details like a lapel and some embellishments. The best length of jacket is the one that reaches the mid-thigh.
